There is a work-around for Linux users who desperately need an image viewer for. To date, only the Windows release of XnView MP has an HEIC plugin (see the XnView Forum thread ). HEIC images from Apple devices is important to you, the current version of XnView MP Linux 0.92 does not have an HEIC plugin. The current version of (closed-source) XnView MP is 0.92 (), so the ebuilds in that overlay are already out of date.
